Does anyone have the wiring diagram for hooking up the airhorns to a switch where you can run them off your stock horn when the switch is flipped and just operate the stock horns when the switch is deactivated?
Went with a 8 gallon tank running 2 viair compressors. Should be able to really blast em!!arty018:
I thought I saw it somewhere on here, but can't find it now..:confused013::confused013:

horn
unhook your stock horns under the left fender and use those wires to wire up to your relay that way you can use your horn on the steering wheel no need for another switch it worked for mearty018:

i'd just run a relay and tie it to the horn wire and put a switch in the line that goes from the relay to the horn. when the switch is on, and you hit the wheel.. both will blow but if the switch is off you wont have the air horns.

That is what I am going to try to do....I know that is what most people do, just trying to find a diagram how everyone wired it up that way....

You shouldn't need a wiring diagram for the horns on this. There are only a couple of wires going to the actual horns on the drivers side fender-well of the truck. I used the ground wires to activate mine and then have a toggle switch between my train horns and regular horns so I can still activate just my truck horns if I want.

I spliced into my horns wiring, in the front drivers fender and ran it to a switch that way I can switch from stock horn to my fire truck horn.

Mine is a power one not a ground. From the switch it goes back to my relay for the air tank. I have the grey screw in relay/pressure switch from horn blasters.

Same here on mine---it is from horn blasters. I just used the ground wire to a toggle in my truck to be able to switch the train horn on and off to be able to use just my truck horn if necessary.

A three way switch would be best...that way it would either be train horns, or stock. not a combo of both, or stock.

What's wrong with a combo of the two going at the same time? Have had mine that way for several years now and no problems...just a tad bit louder.

I cant seem to picture the wiring in my head, how would you go about that. I mean you cant even hear the stock horn anyways over the other horns but this might be good to do just to do it.

installed them today. It was easy. Actually it was really not bad. Shoot this might be the first thing ive ever wired right the first time. lol. I must be learning. And they sound good for a set of harbor freight $20 horns. Much better than stock horns. Thanks to all that supplied info.
